I told myself that when I launched the website 2 years ago, that I would blog more than just about preorders and releases. I wanted a reason for customers and viewers to come onto the site, even if there was nothing new, they could check out a new blog post to see what's going on or random thoughts on sports, current events, fashion world, whatever really. But I think social media outlets like Twitter and Instagram have kind of phased out blogs and bloggers. I could be wrong but it just feels that way. I guess you could say that I come from the blogger days from having a blogspot to a Tumblr (my Tumblr was popping' btw haha). But blogs like Bobby Hundreds, FITTED, Kanye, Complex, Hypebeast, 2dopeboyz (s/o out to my guy Ges aka KnowOne) or any other hip hop blogs were things I would check on the daily.
Those days were so long ago though where I could spend all day on blogs at the shop. Now, my days are filled with my 9-5 job, being a father and husband and then trying to get things done for the brand when I can. At times, I feel so out of touch with what's going on outside my own little bubble (washed life) but I guess that's what's good about Instagram, I get to see what people are "up to" or what they want to show the world. My blog back in the day was full of sneakers, fashion, sports. My blog now will probably consist of the same thing but with a lot more pictures and adventures with my family. So I hope you come by and check the blog out or not, up to you haha.
Random thought, are Podcasts the new blogs? Seems like everyone has a pod now. I'm not knocking it at all, I think its dope. I've thought about doing a pod before but for now, just let me get back to blogging. Baby steps.
