First Post!

Dream On is more so my passion project as opposed to me just starting a brand. For those that don't know me or are not familiar with my story, I'll make it quick and give you the cliff notes version, I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. I moved to Honolulu in 2004 where I attended Chaminade University and that is where you can say, was the start of my career in the streetwear industry. In January of 2006, I was the first employee hired at FITTED and started as just the "shop kid," moved up as the shop manager and then when we felt the time was right for wholesale, I became the Wholesale Manager.

I moved back to the Bay Area in December of 2013 where my intent was to attend trade shows, travel across the country to try and grow FITTED. During this time of attending trade shows and networking, I picked up a couple of other brands as a sales rep. All these brands I represented, I treated as my own, took pride in selling, wearing, promoting, etc. But deep down, I couldn't call it my own, any of it. I always wanted to start a brand or have something to call my own, but I think I would subconsciously talk myself out of doing something, probably because I was scared. I thought to myself, "everyone is starting a brand, I'll just be that person to help them sell it."

It wasn't until the end of 2016 where I really started thinking, dreaming, working on the concept of Dream On. The sole purpose of the brand, is to encourage others to Dream...Dream Big, Dream Hard, Dream On. There are a lot of people in the world who will tell you that you can't doing something because of this or that, but with hard work, dedication, anything is possible. As corny as that may sound, I truly believe that anything is possible. Growing up, in school, you may have heard kids say, "I want to be an astronaut," "I want to play in the NBA," or "I want to be the first female president" and often times, other kids would laugh and say "yea right, dream on." I wanted to take the negative connotation out the term and flip it into a positive one. So with this in mind and with the help of friends and the support of my wife and son, Dream On was born!

The brand is a year old since launching and I just wanted say thank you to everyone who has support me and the brand this far! Appreciate y'all!
